From Cape Town take the N1 northwards (the road to Johannesburg). After passing the town of Paarl, you have a choice of driving over the scenic du Toitskloof or taking the Huguenot Toll Tunnel, which shortens the journey by 11km. On exiting the mountain pass on the north side, where the vineyards begin, take the first available right turn to "Rawsonville". A few kilometers further on take the next right turn, once again for "Rawsonville". At the "T" intersection stop street at Rawsonville Main Road, turn right and head on through the village, taking care not to exceed the speed restrictions.

Approximately 10km further on, after passing various farms and wineries, you will reach "Nekkies Resort", where you must take a 90 degree left turn and pass over the Breede River bridge. Two kilometers further on, where there is a clump of Blue gum trees and a horse riding club, turn left.

There is a small sign which says “airfield” and another small sign which says "Cape Gliding Club". One kilometer further on you will be at the airfield gate – drive straight in. Ask for the "Duty Pilot", as he will make you feel at home.
